MULTI-LITE TABLE LAMP
Louis Weisdorf’s contemporary and classic design philosophy is echoed in the new Multi-Lite Table Lamp. With its timeless elegance, distinctive style and unique multi-functionality, the Multi-Lite Table Lamp brings life and character to any interior space. The Multi-Lite lamp design is created in 1972 by the Danish architect Louis Weisdorf with the aim of reflecting his passion for diversity.
Due to its unique design, the two opposing outside shades can individually be rotated and transformed into multiple combinations and encourage for personal installations and expressions whenever desired. Always with Weisdorf’s design philosophy in mind, the light can be directed upwards, downwards or exude an asymmetric art light without exposing the light source.
Two cylindrical shapes lay the foundation of the lamp and a metal ring encompasses it and anchors the two quarter-spherical shades, which ultimately completes a picture of an iconic design with multiple purposes. The decorative Multi-Lite Table Lamp is an evolution of the pendant design and perfectly suited for creating a festive ambient light in the domestic living room.
SNOOPY TABLE LAMP
Designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, 1967
The Snoopy Lamp, a design from 1967, takes its light-hearted shape and name from the beloved cartoon character. Updated in 2003 with new technology, the Snoopy Lamp gives direct, dimmable light through a glass disk and enameled reflector which rest in perfect balance on the lamp’s slightly angled marble base. Set the Snoopy Lamp on your desk or workspace to outshine the traditional banker’s lamp while making a sly reference to it.
The designers, brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, have work in MoMA’s collection. Bulb (included): 72W/BT15/E26 halogen. Internal dimmer and switch. Lamp weighs 17.41 lbs. The Snoopy Lamp is made in Italy by the manufacturer FLOS.
AJ TABLE LAMP
Design by Arne Jacobsen
Arne Jacobsen designed this fixture, among many other features, for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, in 1957. The table lamp yields a pleasant downward directed light with its white painted inner shade. Furthermore, the shade can be tilted to adjust light distribution.
The clean distinguished shape of the AJ Lamp with its immaculate light could be seen all around the hotel in copper and stainless steel. Together with the AJ Royal, the AJ lamp family was part of the overall design concept, which Jacobsen created for the hotel. He practically designed everything himself. The parallels between the straight lines and the combination of straight and curved angles in the AJ lamp design are also visible in the geometric contours of his buildings.
